Beautiful car and a great story! Loved the E30 build. I took my M3 for a PPI. But, the independent missed a lot of things. I should've known it was "free" even though I mentioned to pay for it. But, I regret not doing a compression test but I guess I did good since my car was cheap and my new head was cheap even though it might need a 3rd headgasket.

A compression test is one of the most important things you can do before buying a car. I wonít buy another without one (unless itís some ridiculously good deal and I donít have the means of doing so)

He said he is an engineering student... so clearly he hasn't gotten far down life's path of time consuming responsibilities ( full time job, marriage, children etc...)

i say keep doing what you love, because there might be times down the road you don't have the "time" to pour yourself into projects...

take it from me.... I can barely squeeze 2 hours a week to wrench on my M3 ... that's why it takes me forever to get things done!

Thanks for backing me up, yep, Iím a full time student. I spend most of my free time studying, participating in extra curricularís, and doing side jobs to support my family and fund my projects.

Iím not sure why heís heckling me when all Iíve done in the past 6 months is some regular maintenance, address minor issues that take at most an hour or two to fix, and throw a wing/wheels on the car. I really havenít put much additional money/time into the car at all...

The e30 was a very fast progression. After all, I was in high school when I did most of the work and had what now seems like endless free time. I was just telling my girlfriend the other week that if I wanted to build another one just like it; it would take me years to complete what I had completed in months simply because I donít have the time anymore. That time will only shrink after I graduate so Iíll just keep doing what Iím doing while I still can.

I canít afford big name shops to work on the car, yet I also expect very high quality work. Iíd rather purchase higher quality parts and do the work myself knowing it was all done right than throw all that money into labor expenses. Do I have to apologize for that? SMH

Car looks great and I like what you have done to the car so far.

Only thing I would suggest is that if you remove the window tints, this car would just shine all the way!!
