Yup , tried that and whilst it helped the bumper still did NOT fit properly.

Certainly tricky to get a good fit. Even my genuine CSL bumper on the CSL is a PITA to get gapped after removal.

I always felt the V-CSL bunkers fit really well (the v1ís that used the aluminum carrier) clear not the best for weight savings, but fitment was on point.

Correct, I have the one that used the aluminum carrier and fitment is perfect.

You can extend the openings so the hanger can have a greater range of travel.

Ahh thanks for the clarification. I will keep this in mind when i mount my other bumper next year. It's OEM so I'm hoping lining things up won't be a problem.
