Default Tracking down M3's History/PO's

Trying to put together the complete history of my car. I have the car-fax and know the previous two owners (2013-current), but I'm looking for the missing parts. Does any body know a good place to start? The car was originally from Allentown PA then to NJ, would a dealership give me a name of the original owner? Car is a base 2003 alpine white, 6mt, slicktop. cloth interior. Thanks for any and all help!

Why do you want to contact former owners?

Just thought it would be cool to have a complete history of the car (old pics, stories etc).

Actually, pretty common for car enthusiast to try and track down the previous owners of vehicles. Don't see why some people couldn't understand a concept as such...

I had luck one time tracking down an original owner by going to the dealership the car was purchased from and asked for service records. The dealership wasn't willing to show/handover very much but i did happen to get a glimpse of the original owners address going through some records they had on file

There's a start

I am also curious about finding my my previous owners. Lucky me, I found a clue.
In the owners manual I found an insurance card and also a BMW CCA card with the guys
name on it. Too bad it's a common name and I cant find it.

Goodluck with your search!

These stalking threads are a bit weird. I mean if it were a 1965 Ferrari then as a PO I would probably be a bit more understanding if someone wanted to contact me to hear all the stories about how my dealership confused an M clunk for a $4,000 diff replacement job.

How many owners between new and '13? I mean, that's 10 years.

If it's one owner, the Allentown, PA dealer may be willing to contact them for you to see if they'd entertain a call. You might have to get to the service manager, who might say, "Oh, you bought [X]s old car. He's a nice guy, die hard car guy. I'll call him and see if I can pass along his number. Or I'll give him your number." I can see that.

I can't see that for 5 different prior owners at 5 different dealers.

Thanks for the input! I'll see what I can find and if it's minimal then oh well, still think it would be sweet to have some data from the past etc!
