Default Subframe surprise

Subframe cracks caught me by surprise this week. Had the rear passenger wheel off and caught this. Mounts are good but the RACP is not.

Can someone who has dealt with this chime in on how to weld It?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong - but I do believe that is a different panel than the carrier panel. Also its hard to see with those pictures, is it a true crack in the metal or just seam sealer peeling?

Yes, this area is very tricky as there are ridges and seams that can look like cracks. You need to really clean it and closely inspect it.

That doesn't scream obvious crack to me, but it might be. I just want to confirm that it can look like a crack but not be in those areas.

It's actually quite common - in most of the Redish videos they find a crack in the seam sealer on the left-rear wheel arch. They stitch weld it in addition to all the other reinforcement work.

That is 100% separation between the inner arch panel and the RACP. This is exactly what the likes of the Vince brace is designed to alleviate.

You will also have 4-5 or more areas in need of attention trust me. I have seen my fair share

It caught me off guard as I check my mounting points often. I took it for alignment and they said my frame is shifting from this small separation.

They also said weld a plate in for this separation. What other areas should I check for?
