I bought the Zamp rz-58 for just under $200. It carries an sa 2015 certification which will be good for a few years. The sizing seems to be European (small) though.

I have a Simpson Bandit. Besides looking like the Stig, the main reason I like it is the eye opening is offset closer to your face than the rest of the front of the helmet. This gives me a greater field of view, especially periphally.

HJC AR 10-III. Would love one of the more expensive helmets like Stilo or Arai but couldn't justify the cost for my use. As others have said, go find a store or event where you can try on a bunch, they all fit quite differently.

I wear a Large in Bell Bullitt Helmets. Only one I have tested out so far. (Hard to find places to try on.)

I have a Stilo ST4 GT Wide Carbon-Fiber. It's pretty fancy and doesn't make me a faster driver or anything, but I like the fact that it's lighter on my head.

It's been replaced by the ST5 now however.

The roux do look like a great bang for the buck, with all the options ect....

Pretty sure the stilo composite is lighter than roux carbon fiber though, I know its lighter than bell, hjc carbon versions.

I was amazed at how many carbon helmets the stilo composite was lighter than.

Noisy? I never noticed to be honest. I did notice that I never use them. I never disconnect my HANS from the helmet, so it seems like a completely unnecessary design for my needs.
