Reminds of that retarded Acura commercial where the announcer says "first, we start with a sports car" (cut to that retarded-grin sedan they make going around a track, and being stripped down to its frame) and then he says "and we end with a sports car" (car is rebuilt as that Crosstour rebadge).

Problem with this topic is that everyone comes up with 5000 different categories of cars. I simply categorize a sports car as being fun, fast and has great handling. A car that was built for the purpose of awesome performance. However since I used the adjective "awesome" that could then be split into "what defines awesome" and everyone has another 1000 descriptions of what that means to them.

There are definitely cars out there built solely for the purpose of being a sports car. NSX, GT3, Ferrari 355, Atom, R8. They offer no utility whatsoever and are meant to be just fast and handle great.

However cars like the GTR, M3, RS5, C63, 911TT etc... I still classify as sports cars, the offer the same thing that the above cars offer but with just more DD capabilities and some utility.

The mentality that a "sports car" is only a car that is 100% dedicated to speed, fun, handling and NO utility I think is ridiculous.

Low weight, focus on handling, enough power to make it fun but not so much as to ruin it. No turdbros.

Oh right, it is the wagon, not the CUXSAV whatever.

Guess the 1985 Audi Sport is out.

I see nothing wrong with something that enhances performance. Turbos only influence how the engine output is provided to the drive train.
