I know it fits easily in my car because I removed the rear bulkhead so I have way more room to load/unload stuff in the car.

One reason why my roll bar doesn't have a diagonal bar between the driver side main hoop and passanger side rear shock mount is to be able to fit stuff on the rear seat area.

With the rear bulkhead still in place, I think you won't be able to get a wheels on the back seat area. But if it's something you need to do, I have three options for you:

1-Ask the welder to install the horizontal bar between the rear shock tower 2'' lower on the rear shock tower plates. I will do the subframe tie ins accordingly.

2-Don't install any horizontal bar, just the subframe tie in diagonal bars to rear shock tower plates.

3-Instead of one horizontal bar between the rear shock tower, I can do a X-brace like I did in my last E46 M3 race car and it will give more clearence between the X-brace and rear bulkhead.

This is awesome. I'd get this but I really want the experience of doing this myself.

The tube cutting and notching...what a PIA!

Just curious, what thickness sheet metal did you use for the rear shock towers?

Suggestion...I think most people would like to know if this would meet the various sanctioning org requirements assuming they get the 360 full penetration welds. Looks like it does...

Yes it will meet most sanctionning org requirements. This roll bar can be convert into a full roll cage at any moment.

All tubes are 1.75"x0.095".

The base plates of the main hoop and the rear shock tower reinforcement plates are 1/8" thick and meet the require 20" sq.in minimum dimension. Main hoop base plates are 4"x5" and rear shock tower plates are 3"x8".

The sheet metal for the subframe reinforcement point covers is 1/16" because it doesn't need to meet any standard.

You will be able to weld 360 degrees all the tubes of this cage.

You think that you could make a roll bar kit that resembles or even a replica of the m3 GTS for an e46 and could be pieced together like what your selling?

Yes I can do different design but let me know exactly what your are looking for; a bolt-in roll bar or weld in? Do you want the subframe reinforcement tie ins? You have a street car or a gutted interior dedicated track car?

Wow, awesome work. Would do this in a heart beat if my car was a dedicated track car!

Willing to sell the rear shock tower plates separately? Those would save me a ton of time and hassle.

Those gussets are nice and it ain't cheap to make those. The dimple dies cost $$$.
