Your car looks great TBone!! Love the OEM+ look

I'm assuming from your profile picture that you got the Eventuri installed? If so, how are you liking it?

Thanks man! I love the eventuri! Once it stops raining I'll do some videos and a little review/impressions, but very happy (I didn't pay near $900 mind you).

So I got some videos last week from inside the car. They're not great, but I clipped them and put them together to make a quick comp to give you an idea of what it sounds like. Hopefully once the weather gets better I can get some outside of the car videos!

Fit and finish on this thing is top notch and def adds some bling to the engine bay!

Here's the video:

Impressions: Like I said in the video description, because of my headers/Scorza exhaust, it's harder to hear the intake. I can see why people stay with or go back to the OE exhaust when they get an Eventuri of CF airbox. I also think the Intake made the whole exhaust note itself a bit louder. The car is quite loud now, but not SS Race loud or that annoying sound luckily that SS Race has a bit of and ebay exhausts have a lot of.

That said, you can definitely hear the Eventuri. The video sorta captures it, but in person, it's even more noticeable.

I'm telling you though, I know it's an intake and our stock intake is very good, but I have more useable power and better throttle response absolutely! The car is way torquier. I notice it the most when shifting. If I shift at 6-8k, I land back at around 4-5k right in the sweet spot of the torque power band and the pull now is brutal. Even with headers and a tune before, just adding the intake made a very noticeable difference.

Conclusion:

Spending $900 on it would be tough, though knowing what I know now, I'd probably still do it, but luckily I got this very lightly used one for substantially less than that.

Most say do this mod for the sound and/or bling, not the power, but I firmly disagree. Don't get hung up on peak power numbers like "10-15 hp and 7-9 tq" - it's all about the powerband. Look at dynos of this thing, there's more power (torque especially) the whole way though the power band and that's what I care about, not that it makes 13 more hp at 7900 rpm, which I care about too of course.

To those that say it's a waste and you should just get a hi-flow filter and an elbow - I've already done that. That adds no sound change and only gives a bit more HP at the very top of the powerband, but you lose a bit everywhere else in the powerband so it's a no-brainer for me.

To those that say not worth it, get a full CF airbox. Yes, I want one, but now's not the time as it seems you'd want to do cams at the same time for it to really shine. I don't have $5k I want to spend on my car right now either. I just got ~60-75% of the sound and power of the CSL airbox for a 1/6 of the price.

Took the car down to SD to visit Kevin:

Power was out of course, so no lift, but that didn't stop Kaiv from going in...

- New clutch/pp/throw out and other stuff like fork, slave, ss line, bolts, bearings/seals/bushings
- AS SSK 30% with all new shifter linkage/selector rod bushings etc
- Threw in a new valeo starter while in there

Noticed a nasty sound from up front upon starting her back up which turned out to be the bosch rebuilt alternator with about 50k/5 years on it d'oh! Ordered another one. Only new ones for sale seem to be valeo, but I was reading not such great things about the valeo alt, so went with reman'd bosch again
