Default E46 M3 Fog light socket

I have a HID fog light conversion kit installed by Umnitza in 2006 and one of the bulbs went out.

i decided to get rid of the kit.

i didnt keep the stock bulbs so i googled the bulb type. it seems 9006 hb4

i bought a pair of 9006 hb4 bulb, but it wont fit.

the plug looks like this

it wont fit a 9006 bulb.

does anyone recognize this plug?

thank

You need to remove the ballasts too; the 9006 connector should be plugged into that.

Thanks for the reply.

Here is the ballast or igniter. It was directly connected to the plug I mentioned above. Did they remove the 9006 harness?

That's the igniter - ballast is probably still there.

Found it. Thanks.

Everything works now. The 15 dollars a pair led bulbs look nice. If they last as long as LEDs are supposed to, I will be very happy.
