If speed is the consideration, is it the same driver, course, wear on vehicles equal? You can't just throw out a phrase like "faster" yet.

More powerful than the e92 is also suspect since official numbers haven't been released yet and clarified by a third party consumer report.
Just to clarify, I was quoting the article, so I didn't come up with those "declarations" myself (although I agree with all of them).

In another thread it was released that the X440i and the upcoming M-performance Z4 will have an "updated" N55 with ~400hp, so one would assume that the M3 engine will have considerably more. Combine that with lighter weight, more capable chassis, etc, and yes it will be faster (like every other successive generation has been )

Not sure why a twin-turbo 3L I6 making more power than an N/A 4L V8 is a "hollow statement"? Turbo lag will have essentially zero impact on how fast the car is, especially with a good driver. BMW (and basically any other performance-oriented automaker these days) has already shown how little lag their turbo engines can have.

It's true the S65 didn't "need turbos" to get 414hp, it's output isn't out of line with any recent M engines, so I'm not sure what you're getting at here...

It has the potential to be the best M3 evar. I'm excited about the FI now. Can't beat the S65 anyway. Might as well have an M3 running 11s

This will certainly cannibalize M5 sales... M5 vs mini M5
