Making a solution based on the Melexis 90616 IR sensor (-70 to 1030 deg C).

Playing with CAN: Did an iteration on the CAN2HMI card. Attached it to my bench and streamed a logged CAN sequence from one of my e46 towards it. Works like a charm.



Did some calculations on the CAN messages from the ECU and made some stuff for presenting the results on the HMI...



Nice to know that the engine oil temp is also available on CAN on the non-M cars...

Custom display, no plans for video or IBUS. All data on CAN. Will add screen window switch from steering wheel buttons, though.
Have played with/done some iterations on the other HMI screens...

Beautiful work! Love it. I wonder where this could be mounted so it doesn't look out of place on a street car.
