Give me a call if you want to work on it. Otherwise I'm hitting the gym.

Awesome just what I was looking for as I'll be swapping out my alternator and belts!!! These were the pdf's I PM'd you about.

I wanted to buy locally so I didn't have to deal w/ shipping & downtime of my car being w/o an alternator as I wait for the replacement if/when the one I put in craps out...

my local Autozone says its sold as a "Duralast" (their house brand) w/ lifetime warranty but it is actually remanufactured Valeo units...on their online pix when you search for M3 alternator the backside black plastic piece where the electrical connectors go, the center says Valeo.

Given that it is rebuilt Valeo's, is Autozone/Duralast that bad at rebuilding/remanufacturing that you guys would stay away from them? The fact that our alternators all seem to go bad, coupled by the lifetime warranty & being able to drive my wife's car to pick up a replacement locally and have my car back in commission in a couple hours seems like a better option to me than ordering online where I'd have to take my old alternator out, ship it to them, and wait for the replacement to ship before I can install the replacement... being w/o my car for all that time.

Price:$209.99
Part Number:15410
Warranty: Limited Lifetime
Notes: 115 Amp Premium reman
oddly they say its 115amp..

Features & Benefits
Duralast alternators are engineered for long lasting performance. Remanufactured through rigorous testing and replacement processes, all components undergo the highest standard quality inspections and each unit is 100% factory tested to strict tolerance levels ensuring Duralast products exceed customer expectations.

I couldn't find the Bosch units anywhere locally...

Napa Auto Parts also has the remanufactured Valeo units ..pix and text description show Valeo...there are 2 part #'s...NAE 11122 and
NAE 13974 w/ different prices ($220 vs $229)... one says 115amp the other says 120...we're there actually 2 valeo units used in different year M3's some w/ 115amp and some w/ 120amp? Autozone's also says 115amp...

These also carry lifetime warranty... I'm guessing Napa and Autozone probably don't have their own in house rebuilders/remanufacturers (correct me if I'm wrong)... and they get all these units from the same rebuilder/remanufacturer....then just slap the Napa or Autozone/Duralast box & part # label on them... if this is the case then Autozone is cheaper than Napa for the same Valeo remanufactured unit ($210)...
if you have AAA (Automobile Club) membership it gives you 7 percent on select parts and accessories at Napa Auto Parts.
Offer Restrictions: Valid on most auto parts and accessories certain exclusions apply. So the $220 would be $204.60 (beating Autozone/Duralast for same Valeo remanufactured unit w/ Lifetime Warranty)... and the $220 would be $212.97... Assuming they are from the same rebuilder/Valeo product its probably easier to just get it at Autozone/Duralast since there are way more Autozone locations (at least for me) than Napa...but since I explored the other places/options/prices.. thought I'd post up the research for you guys

Kragen/O'Reilly:

also has a remanufactured Valeo unit w/ 1 yr warranty.. but at roughly double the cost..I thought it was for new given the price difference.. but looking at the description its remanufactured Valeo like Autozone & Napa.. probably from the same rebuilder too. Double the price, same brand, remanufactured and 1 yr warranty vs lifetime at the others... what a joke...
