Default SMG clutch install issues

02 SMG.. replaced clutch, bearing, arm, pivot, seals, etc etc.. got inpa to run bleed procedure.. tried it 4 times and failed everytime around 6:30 min left in procedure.... had a charger hooked up to battery 13.3V....had hood closed..noticed i couldn't get the gear selector into N.. it would just flash "N".. gearbox would shift from 2(flashing) and 5..and finally staying in 5th...this is all happening with the car shut off.. only key "ON" position, while running inpa bleeding... can this be a GPS sensor failure?

the reason i had to change the clutch is because while driving one day i started to hear a slight noise coming from the bell housing area.. sounded like a bad throw out bearing.. i was driving and the noise got louder and then the shifter started shifting up n down.. i couldn't control which gear it was in.. finally got stuck in 2nd and i drove it like that till i could pull over... once stopped.. i couldn't get it to start again.. couldn't get it into N. ....once i pulled the tranny and inspected the inside of the bell housing looked like a bomb went off.. the fork and bearing were toast and the pressure plate took a beating too.. i figured the throw out bearing finally gave out i assume its original and the car has 177k... but could it have in fact been my Gear Position Sensor that failed??

Can you use INPA to bleed an SMG? I know you can actuate the gears and shifting and build system pressure to check for leaks.

I think you have to use a GT1 to do the full bleed. But I could be wrong about that.

It was a mystery. I was replacing a motor for someone who had an SMG. INPA got it shifting but wasn’t right, had issues under full throttle. I sent them to the dealer and did the bleed. Worked perfectly.

were you able to calibrate your GPS first?
then perform the bleed procedure?

recall not so vividly, there is an option under GT1 for the GPS calibration as well ..
