Cool Biggest size tire I can comfortably run on my E90 M3 for autocross

Hi folks,

I got addicted to autocross this year in my 2011 E90 M3, and even with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, it leaves some to be desired in the grip department. I do not have adjustable damper control so I'm dealing with stock suspension without adjustments. My car has the 19" spoke wheels on it.

What's the biggest size tire any of you have run on your M3? I'm willing to involve spacers or different wheels in order to accommodate wider tires. As long as my tires sit flush with the outer edge of the fenders, as I hate the "sticking out" look. Any input would be terrific.

I ran 275/35/18 RS3's on my E90 for a season. (squared). it did rub slightly at full lock but no other issues. I am sure you can fit 285/295 but you may need more suspension modding to accommodate. My car is lowered on springs with slightly more camber.

It depends on how serious you are, whether these will be daily driven or just used for autox, and if you are trying to stay in SCCA Street class (stock class), F-street.

In F-street I use stock width TRMotorsport wheels, 8.5/9.5 with 275/35-18 BFG Rivals all around for example. For BMWCCA events I used Apex 10x18 wheels with 275/35 Nitto NT-01s.

I ran 275/35-18 RE71R's this past year with no issue and am considering the 285/30-18's when they come out in March on 18x9/18x10 wheels.
