Well, I appreciate the advice. sorry for my delay in responding but I have had back issues since my last post.

I did test drive a 991 GT3. Wow, impressive car. I also test drove a Turbo S but it was a 997 not a 991. Both cars have their strong points. The thing I liked about the GT3 and what impressed me about the M3 was the handling compared to the Turbo S. the former vehicles just seemed lighter on their feet. The Turbo S seemed heavy to me but it sure is FAST!

I have not tracked any of the cars and the test was brief in both Porsche cars.
I did decide to go with the GT3. It is a 2015 and I got a good price on a 2015 especially with the ask price on most of the cars. Still over MSRP.

The dealer is giving me an Ok price on the trade especially with the tax savings. I could likely do better selling it myself.

If you aren't on the track I would personally go for the Turbo S all day over the M3.

I have not driven the 991 GT3/RS, but I have heard nothing but GUSHING praise! Congratulations!

I personally prefer the GT3 (RS) to the Turbo (S) for the same reasons as yourself, because while sure you can pretty easily make absurd power from the TT, it will never have the feel, unbreakable poise of the GT3 (RS)!
