Default Looking at 2009-2011 e93 and just noticed...

That the heated seat buttons are in a different location. What are some other changes??

Also one is 6 speed the other is dct. I prefer manual. Wife is going to drive on occasion though and that's why I'm hesitant to purchase.

Anyone have opinions?? I'm going to obviously drive it and see for myself but wanted to know any tricks in driving the dct.

Thanks

Is there a difference in the installed options otherwise? Sometimes buttons and features get moved around/deleted depending upon whether you have the iDrive or not.

I never use the heated seats, but I know that on my 2011 with iDrive the button is in the climate control cluster.

Other changes between 2009 and 2011 is that there should have been at least one ECU update that may have stabilized things a bit and purportedly increased power (per guys who have done the dynos).

If your wife wants to occasionally drive it and doesn't like manual definitely get the DCT. My e90 is the first car I've owned that has anything but a manual transmission, but it was a compromise to appease her at home. Since buying it I haven't heard one gripe about the S2000 having a manual transmission-and that was once a weekly gripe.

How will I know if it has power folding mirrors? Was this a "rare" option to get?

Button to the left of the L/R switch for moving the mirrors. You depress it to fold/unfold.

I assumed they were moved when they switched from dvd to HD based nav (2009+) to clean things up a bit.

Test drove a 2011 yesterday, and that's where it was. Could be different after that?
