Default SMG herky jerky

Guys,

My SMG is hard to drive smoothly coming from a stop sign in first. It just feels a bit jerky the first few MPH no matter how gently I'm pushing the gas. Normal? It also seems to hate when it starts in second from a near stop on moderate accelaration. Almost bugged down or like its riding the clutch to get going. Also normal?

Thanks for any advice here.

Try the soft reset, pull neutral going 30-40ish and hold the paddles at the same time for around 10-15 sec, then push back into gear and see if its better

How many miles is there on your ///M?I had an issue where it shook at a drive thru and softly pressing the gas pedal, after maybe 10k miles and a new clutch, never did it again,I had 90k when I noticed it,but never bothered me tbh,but just an idea of one of many or few it can be :-)

45k on it now. Maybe it's time for a new clutch. What did that run you?

Wow, if you burned thru a clutch in 45K you must drive very hard.... Mine is at 95K and grabs like a champ

1. Check and replace the guibo. 2. have the clutch re-adaptions done - this is a dealer/GT1/high end diag tool, NOT the paddle reset.
Highly unlikely you need a clutch at those miles, more likely the clutch needs to be re-adapted. they have to do clutch adaption when you replace the clutch in an SMG, so this is why someone says a new clutch fixed the problem.

It does not take 10-15 seconds to hold the paddles...

Go to about 45mph and put vehicle in neutral then hold paddles for 5 seconds.

as other mentioned above ask the dealer for the 'hard teach-in' smg re-calibration off the gt1. also try being less gentle off the line. place your heel at the base of the pedal and push outward with your leg rather than just down with your ankle.
