Default Leaking Power Steering Pressure Hose - WHat to do ?

Was under the car last 2 days and found a leaking P/S Pressure hose.

It is leaking at the marked joint on hose number 3
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=32&fg=20&hl=3

Found some threads saying that the hose leaking at joints due to compression/expansion of rubber on the crimps. This is common as many cars reported it. And it will happen again if i do replace it with a new one.

Need suggestion to tackle this problem other than buying new hose ($175)
The same thread also suggests to cut the crimps and use hose clamps.

Any suggestions or do i have to get a new hose ?

It happened to me too, my understanding was that it is not too uncommon, but I can't really be of any help because mine was replaced under warranty so I’m assuming that they used a new hose.

due to the pressure in the hose I think I would just buy a new one vs trying to make the old one work..

Default haven't seen one but...

if its anything like the heater hose connections...i would cut and clamp. After spending too much money for a heater hose, and realizing that the connection is bound to fail again due to the design, I decided that i will make my own connections with hose clamps next time around. It seems that a lot of the hose connections are designed with convenience in mind...not the greatest for function and longevity.
