Then again most people don't waste their time doing a positive review. Only when something went wrong where they end up posting all over the internet about how bad something/someone is.

I've dealt w/ them twice, first time just to get a 1piece splitter and it went well and second time was when I had them remove and replace my bad engine w/ the one that I rebuilt and they worked w/ me and my slim timeline on when things need to get done before I left for deployment. they were very helpful on both occasion.

but then again that's my experience w/ them. ymmv.

For every story like yours, there's 2 worse experiences. This is what's so upsetting to those of us that have bought from them. I was flat out lied to, as others were, and on top of that, SGT tried pulling a fast one on me.

How would you react if you found out that they either A. charged you full price for used parts in your rebuilt, or B. charged you full price of the A model of something, and gave you the B model of it, while trying to hide that fact.

There's too many poor reviews at this point to out weight all the positive. A company that's as good as some of you say it is doesn't have this many damming reviews.

We already take that into account tho, we know there are good things in every business,...at least in the beginning. Plus SGT had a lot of positive reviews early on (reason I bought 7 items from them). Positive reviews were phony btw, from members trying to justify their crap purchases.

If there’s enough bad reviews, and they’re all consistent, then who cares about the positive reviews? Again, few bad reviews is fine especially when owner makes right about it. But when enough people speak up and it’s consistent then there’s concern.

More than enough negative reviews on SGT for any sane person to rationalize that it is most likely not a good idea to do business with them. Same goes for streamline and their shitty products/customer service. But yet, people continue to go back....

I called him again today and after the 3rd time of being told I would get a refund finally received an email notification from PayPal that it went through. Hopefully thats the end of the story.

Whatever is going on should be resolved. This is crazy. I'm sure what happens is Mike takes orders, waits to get enough to place an order then buys bulk from the manufacturer. But this creates long delays for customers. It's a backwards way of doing business and puts you in a hole eventually.

All positive reviews seem to come from local So Cal/SD customers. I'm sure their labor/installs/service level is good. This whole manufacturing of parts side business is a disaster though.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but maybe someone here knows someone at Status Gruppe who is able to help me. I have currently been waiting on an order for 6 weeks from SG, and I keep being told that they have no ETA, are moving shops, the dogs ran away, etc. Take it from me, they haven't changed, they will not change, and they have proved that they are the same company that they were when they tried to say they would change.

As a forum member it really sucks for me to type this, I was so excited to get my headers and put them on, but I keep getting blown off by SG and don't really know what to do anymore
