Default Low dyno numbers.

Dynoed my car today and I was disappointed.
Its a 2008 60k miles with mods proven to work but....
Serviced and running strong.

Evolve decat pipes
ESS software (8600 redline)
Macht schnell pulleys
BMC air filter
Remus sport mufflers

384hp (320whp)@ 8500rpm
267 lb.ft @ 5900rpm

Any ideas wheres the problem?

That would be my question also. On a Dynojet in SAE, 384/267 would be fine. But since you posted bhp, that makes me think some other kind of dyno was used with a conversion factor. If so, you can compare to other dynos from the same kind of dyno.

Default Re: Low dyno numbers.

Dyno was V-tech, Cheap inertia style dyno without brake.

There was also two 335i's with jb4 and running 30% mix of alcohol.
Their numbers were both 390-410hp and 450 lb.ft range

About 4 years ago I dynoed my old E46 M3 on that very same dyno.
car had evolve software and alpha-n. Numbers were 350hp 270lb.ft
So....E46 has more torque than V8 ?!

Oh and car is with dct. Best pull was made in 5th gear. In 4th gear numbers were even lower, 375hp.

Thanks for help

Short stroke engines wear quicker.
