Default Tail Lights acting weird (Umnitza LED Upgrade)

About a week ago my rear tail lighst began to act strange. They would turn on at startup then once I pushed the brake a few times they would turn off (as in they are not illuminated, sometimes even when I push the brake pedal.) The only light that works is the rear window mounted one. At startup I noticed that one of the tails looked to be dim, so I figured it might be a bad resistor or something and switched the two electronics packs which hook up the lights. As I thought the problem followed the bad pack. However, could this possible bad pack cause my car to cut power to them (the dash light showing they are out is illuminated.) I dont really want to buy a full new set if these can be salvaged so I would like to know if anyone had a similiar problem or how I can go about finding the exact problem. Thanks!

I would lol but their over the warranty period. I'm starting to lean heavily on the assuption its a bad resistor because now one almost always comes on while the dimmer one is out most of the time. I'm gonna call them and ask if I can get a cheaper resistor pack

That's a typo in the thread title right?

You meant to say "downgrade"

Alot of people misspell "downgrade" for "upgrade" when it comes to Umnitza products..
