Ah the age old adage of "Camaro takes it in the twisties".

Should've had the PS2s instead of those sh**** Super Sports.

Didnít they like a the M2 a lot more in the mountains?

Sounded like the MPSS rubber on the M2C just couldnít hack 110 degree track days (duh) vs the 285/305 near (if not full? Based on tread) r-comp rubber on the ĎMaro...

Down on lateral grip seemed to be the big mismatch here, especially given the 2C was faster down the straights (wouldíve liked to see 6MT)

To clarify for everyone else,
The Goodyears on the Camaro are categorized as "Extreme Performance Tires" one step above "Max Performance," but they aren't streetable track & competition tires (PSC2s, Trofeo Rs, Corsas etc)

Thanks for checking; so itís like a Dunlop star spec etc, which is significantly faster than a PSS on a track, especially one that hot.

Yeah the Michelins apparently fall apart when hot on the track....
At any rate, it could have been worse. At least the M2 wasn't wearing Conti 3s.

On the 2019 M2 Competition, ,they list the PSS as being OE. PS4s should be OE

Wait, did he just call the Camaro a modern e36?

Huge bummer they didn't include a GT350 in that comparison.

As for the Camaro's handling chops, I'm guessing the bow tie crew had a M4 and/or a M2 on hand when they were developing the handling characteristics, so it would not be surprising if there was some hint of similarity between competing name plates; this is my guess of course.
