Thanks! I sold off a bunch of parts, but I kept most of my interior, thankfully. This new car definitely needs some love - but it should look pretty stunning once I finish swapping some parts and fixing the suspension.

When you say the dash is "wrapped" - with what? Does it feel like leather? Have stitching where it should? Etc? If not, I'd say revert it. Maybe then see if you can take the extra to an upholsterer and see what kind of interesting work they can do on it with real leather. I've always assumed that with the right amount of time and quality work, it could be done to match a factory full leather dash.

Like others, I find that color combination pretty garish, although Stranger Things has nullified my previous contention that "nobody would ever offer that combination from the factory"

With the age and condition of your original red leather I wonder if you could sell it for a premium and then use those proceeds on something custom. There's a guy overseas somewhere (suddenly google has become totally useless for finding this.... but finally pulled this up: PY over Kiwi with Sportsters) that I think has done this to perfection. Two toned with mint black leather and just the seat inserts being that color might be even better looking. Or at least unique.

Could always go with LSB too...

I don't think the color combo is that bad, maybe not my favorite but it is unique. Imola is my absolute favorite interior (ignoring LSB and Dark Estoril Blue).

PY over LSB awesome! Good luck finding interior as good as mine in LSB though - I'd have to do something custom. I looked into redoing my previous car before I found my Imola interior and finding the correct leather was extremely difficult. I got samples from a few places and never found really anything with leather that felt or looked like the stock bmw leather - I was looking for Imola red and Dark Estoril Blue leather though. The closest I could find was a place in England and it was extremely expensive.

But once I found my current Imola interior I jumped on that and here we are.

The dash is wrapped in leather. Under the dash is dove grey, the original color. They actually did a pretty decent job. Once I get some time and really start to look into the interior I'll see how close it is to real Imola. I have a stock black dash from my old car, so worse comes to worse I'll swap it.

I'll get some better pictures of it at some point.

I replaced the exhaust with a stock section-3. I like a quiet car and the DTM tips on the Eisenmann aren't my thing. I've also ordered a new OEM colored M3 emblem for the trunk.

Looks great, OE badge will be class to match OE chrome tips.

Maybe a better trunk in the future? Color match is pretty spot on though at least!

Good call, I thought the same thing. I have a genuine OE badge in the mail and hopefully will get here today or tomorrow.

I'm not totally sure what to do about the trunk. The color match is spot on but the fitment isn't perfect. It's a Seibon. I wish it had the OEM BMW roundel emblem in the middle, it looks weird without it.

That car is too nice for a roundleless Seibon trunk. Love the look of the car otherwise

Welcome back Liam! Seems we like the same colors, as PY or LSB would've been my choice if I hadn't found my IB.

Congrats. You're going to love having a car with some miles on it that you can drive without regrets. I recently did the same thing with a different platform and couldn't be happier.

Despite the miles, your PY looks really clean and well cared for, which makes it just about the perfect E46 to actually enjoy.

One question though, was the dash the original grey one with the imola section dyed or how was it done? I noticed the strip close to the windshield is red as well, similar to my beige dash in my touring.
