Default 2018-19 NBA Season Thread

Another year, another title for the (now) Warriors dynasty. Every team is the League is thinking about how to knock off a team that won 3 of the last 4 rings. The superteam era is about to hit another apex, because it will take 3 superstars on one team to do it.

As usual every 4 years, the eyes of the League will follow LeBron. Where does he sign? What does he want to do with the rest of his career? Does he want to win more championships? Then go to Houston and team up with The Beard and The Point God. Does he want to tutor young guns and have an easy time in a Conference, where he can keep losing in the Finals to the Warriors? Then go to Philadephia. Does he want to tank out the remaining years and focus on a career in Hollywood? By all means, join LaVar Ball and the Lakers and get waxed by the Warriors 4 times every regular season.

There are other gems out there like Paul George, but LeBron's decision will again reshape the NBA landscape for years to come.

Let it begin!

Cow-whee Leonard doesn't want to be a Spur any more, according to his uncle, who is the unnamed source that espn.com is referring to. He wants to be traded to the Lakers. Could this be the first domino to create a Laker superteam? Or will the Spurs refuse outright and 1) keep him another year or 2) trade him to another team?

Damn if the Lakers get Kawhi, Lebron, and PG13, I don't know if I would still be a die hard Laker hater. I'm from CLE, I love Lebron.

At first I was at your scenario, then I checked my texts. CP3 just sold his Houston home Leonard is bitching about a trade to LA, and Paul George has been openly pining to be a Laker for more than a year. Couple that with this:

In a video with Black Sports Online, Gary Payton let us all in on a bit of news: LeBron James’s oldest son, LeBron James Jr., is supposedly committed to play high school basketball next season at Sierra Canyon, located just outside of L.A. For what it’s worth, a school official told reporter Chris Palmer that Bronny’s commitment is “news to us,” and the Los Angeles Daily News, citing multiple sources from the Sierra Canyon athletic department, said nothing is official.

And this - I can't find it, but there was a Tweet from Zaza Pachulia that the league was about to get rocked with news of another superteam, and that players had already talked to get things in motion

And it might mean the Lakers are about to do a mega deal for Cow-whee, then sign LeBron and PG13 as free agents. BUt I can't see any way that CP3 fits into that equation under the salary cap.

I think itís going to happen.

LA has the money and everyone wants to live there.

Plus donít forget the rumors about LBJís son being signed up for the prep school in LA.

I donít think the salary cap will be an issue. All those players would prefer to have rings over any extra 5-10 mill a year, especially seeing how much they already have.

Better to create a dynasty system where you make all your money in endorsements then get paid an extra 5 mill a year and not win anything/ get endorsements but thatís just my 2cents.
