Default Aim solo 2 issues

Hey guys, not an M3 owner anymore, however this is the best track section of any internet forum i have been on. I've been using an AIM solo2 in my camaro with the data recorder in it and I have been getting very different times compared to my AIM solo2.

I was at daytona a few weeks ago, and my aim was saying 2:19, then combined two laps, combined another 2 laps. Where my Performance data recorder in my car (and my wife timing me) was showing 2:10, 2:11, 2:13, 2:09, in lap. I have to believe the stop watch is going to be the most accurate (shes pretty good lol).

Does anyone else have SOLO2 accuracy issues? I've had this issue before where it will combine laps, but the other times it will line up well with my PDR. Maybe needs a firmware update, or a factory default reset?

let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Mind posting your a data files. Normally when it combines laps it's a gps issue, I'm not that familiar with that track but maybe it's a known issue there.

I think i may have already cleared the data, it's done the double lap before at 2 other tracks.

Typically this comes from multiple track layouts loaded in the aim especially where track can have different layouts. Id delete any Daytona tracks from your aim and reload.

Probably a GPS reception issue. The antenna is inside the unit, and unit inside the car, where reception isn’t great. Also, the walls and grandstand at Daytona block reception. If you look at the plots there are probably a bunch of straight lines connecting points where it lacked any position data.

An external antenna would help.
