Question e46 m3 whistling noise in the cabin

so I had this whistling issue in my cabin since two days which really sounds weird, I don't think it has anything to do with certain speeds or anything as it appears on idle and on driving at the same time, stops every two minutes for seconds and then again comes back.
the whistling sound comes from the drivers side , as if from the dash board or something down maybe.
i would appreciate any help if anyone has faced this issue.

PS: engine belts are all new, and an engine rebuild has been done recently, so all mechanical things are brand new and have been checked, nothing mechanical is causing that noise..

Chassis: E46
Model : M3
Year: 2005

Are you running A/C by any chance when you hear the sound?

I had a similar issue and turned out to be the blower resistor.

Very awkward to get to and kind of a PITA since it's in a tight spot.
