Default Hi all! Introducing my "new to me" Supercharged E46 M3!

Hey all!

Long time lurker in the forums here, but thought I'd share my recent pickup and document the process! My name is Evan Beckerman and this is my 2003 BMW E46 M3 with a AA Supercharger kit! I absolutely LOVE this car! It is my 3rd M3 (Currently have a E36 M3 and a E93 M3 as well)

The car is also a SMG to Manual swap car and I'm having a little issues with it. First off, the traction control button must be turned off to drive it, or it jumps into limp mode. Secondly, I'll occasionally get a ELM, brake error when the car has been running for a while. This seems to happen in traffic. When this error comes on, I have horrible throttle response so I turn the car off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on and its fine. Any ideas?

Sincerely,
Evan

Nice pickup! You most likely want to keep your progress on the Journal thread.

Don’t you have a YouTube video vlog on this car?

Your torque tables probably weren't updated by the tuner. Do you know what brand of compressor and pulley size?

I'm still going through the annoyance of an incomplete 6MT swap as well. Make sure your cruise control works and reverse light is coming on when supposed to.

PS: It looks like I fixed the issue today. I noticed the ICV was open/unplugged and a vacuum line has fallen off! Wierd!

Just watched some of your videos. Gee whiz, you know your stuff! It seems like you guys are running a legit tuning operation, if I understand correctly. Is it your business? Impressive, and very well done videography / editing.

Congrats on your new car. My recommendation for this chassis is maintenance. Make sure subframe, VANOS, bearings were all done. Nice to see a our platform get some exposure

Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes, I'm one of the co-founders of throtl and I'm responsible for all of the content/media.

Side note question: The pulley/alternator/idler's are making a lot of noise. Anyone know how to diagnose which one is the culprit?

Thanks,
Evan
