Default Questions regarding Build Journal Spec B tune

Hello,

I have had my E46 M3 for close to a year, and am thinking about a tune (finally). After doing some looking around, I decided that Build Journal seems like a pretty good option.

I know the disclaimers say it is for off road use only, but I am curious how it effects emissions. I cannot have a CEL, and I am allowed 1 NOT READY MAX. For anyone with experience with the Build Journal tune, could you please shed some light on this aspect please? I am catted now but am open to the idea of going catless if I can retain NO CEL and 1 not ready max.

Thank you in advance for the help, and I am excited to finally get down to business in my beloved M3. -Ezra Blasing

I have the build journal tune. Catless headers I donít have a CEL and I passed emmisions with a ďready.Ē So donít worry!!!

My 1 not ready was SAP which I had buildjournal turn off. If I left it on Iíd pass emmisions with 100% ready

I enjoy mine. Thankfully FL isn't a stupid inspection state but my EGT wires are cut, my SAP is removed, I'm catless and no codes. I would pass if I had an inspection. A little bump in power is nice too

I live in Rhode Island. They do the computer test, where as long as there is no CEL on and the readiness monitors say ready (1 can say not ready), You are fine and pass.
