Definitely interested in the tame one. I'm prioritizing the noises coming from the intake than the exhaust but a little more exhaust noise from the S54 would be nice too (stock is too quiet when I'm trying to rev match downshifts).

I recently bought a Stromung catback for my E30 325is and the craftsmanship was terrific. I was looking forward to getting one for a E36 when I was looking for one of those but when I ended up picking up the E46, I was sad to see that Stromung didn't have anything listed for the E46 M3 on their webpage.

Glad to hear there's something coming in the future!

I personally think that a 3.5" single exhaust setup would be the best option for power and weight savings. Don't touch the section 1 at all. If you are trying to appeal to the high HP N/A cars then it must be 3.5"

Honestly, take a full bimmerworld exhaust system, make it as lightweight as possible (aluminum?), And then lead it into a quad tipped (83mm tips) exhaust muffler. The only reason people go single exit is for weight savings, so if there was a way you could make a full section 3 exhaust crazy light (aluminum?) I think you'd really be onto something.

In a perfect world a valved system would be awesome. Imagine a Dinan exhaust system; but rather than one set of tips being fake and the other being functional, you can make the far left tips the straight through tips for maximum flow (loud) and then click a switch and those close off and exhaust gas is sent down the muffler to the far right tips and it comes out very very quiet.

Best of both worlds:lightweight, and multi purpose without compromising.

Regardless, I'll keep you all posted.

Interesting. Looking forward to this.

Genuinely looking forward to this. They make a great product. Keeping my fingers crossed they keep the weight down on the race version. I'll be the first to buy.

My 'S52' powered E30 with E36 M3 Strömung was one of my favorite sounding cars of all time.

Granted the S54 sounds completely different, I'd still be interested in a Strömung Exhaust for E46 M3. Otherwise I'll probably go full Status Gruppe (still debating keeping the stock dual section 2 though).

I would be most interested in any setup that is 2.5" or 3.5" from section 2 through section 3 and is lightweight and sub 95db with headers.
