Default Have dimming/compass mirror. Interested in this.

The glass has a special coating applied to the back with a cutout for the compass. Also there is a large circuit board behind the mirror that controls multiple functions, including the oem alarm, compass, mirror dimming, side mirror dimming, headlamp functions, etc. You have to completely remove the coating on the mirror and apply a new coating with a cutout for the V1 (and compass), the plastic mirror casing needs to be modified to so the circuit board can be pushed back far enough to make room for the V1 display, and the compass has to be desoldered and moved about a cm forward if you want to still be able to see it. Be careful, I ruined a few mirrors learning how to do this and they're not cheap to replace.
Are you doing any more of these set-ups? I have a auto-dimming mirror with compass etc and a V1 concealed display. I want to not see any etching when the display is off. Please advise. New to forum so cannot send PM yet.

Yeah I can help you with it. I don't etch the glass, your mirror will look the same as the one in the OP. I had some custom mirrors made and can now do this so you don't lose your auto dimming.

Default Re: V1 Stealth Integration - E90 M3

Did a custom install in my E90 m3 and did NOT want to modify any part of the car that cannot be reversed. My setup works just as good and costs a lot less
