Default DSC Pressure Sensor 2 fault fix

Problem: in the last month or so on my 2002 (with MK20 DSC unit), on two occasions there have been 3-4 day periods during which the DSC light would come on intermittently while driving. No ABS light or brake light, just the DSC light. Once it comes on it usually stays on until turning the car off, and if I drive the car again soon after, it will usually be on as soon as I start the car again. If I let it cool down for a while, the light won't come on right when I start the car but will usually come on again after driving for a little bit. But then it stops doing this after a few days.

The first time this happened it went on for 3-4 days then stopped, and didn't happen again for about a month, then last week same thing happened, lasted 3-4 days, and now it's good again.

Checked codes in the DSC unit with INPA and got "Druck sensor 2 elektrisch defekt" (pressure sensor 2 electrical failure)

Doesn't seem like there's not a ton of info out there on this, but I found an old thread from a couple of years ago where someone had this problem and there's a bit of info on how to replace the sensor: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=270125

I'm wondering if anyone else around here has had experience with this issue and maybe was able to fix it without replacing the sensor (it's a pricey piece)? Like maybe you found a bad seal somewhere or the MC needed a bleed?

Brakes were flushed a few thousand miles ago by a reputable shop in the Atlanta area. Any chance they didn't bleed properly?

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on what to try before replacing the sensor, or any tips on doing the actual job, I'd appreciate hearing it

I had this last week, but i did clear codes and it never came back yet,
although my unit is MK60, it's same principle. (i have 2005 sedan with S54).
But yesterday after i replaced brake line and refresh fluid, i take the car for test drive and after 2 time the ABS kick in the front brakes totally lucked! it's take 4-5 minutes and pressing the pedal few times to make it release again... i think it's the ABS unit.

I had my pressure sensor code come up when my DSC light came on while driving. There would be times where I had zero traction control while driving for days at a time.

I finally pulled the electrical plugs to the DSC pressure sensors as well as the DSC ECU as well. I just unplugged and plugged many times in a row to make sure it got a clean connection. I also banged on the two sensors with a wrench which Iím not sure if that helped. LOL. Iíve never had the DSC light come on every since it happened a year ago.

My DSC and brake light typically only come on during hot days. I have two new sensors, but getting to them seemed like a PITA.

Does anyone know if the Pressure Sensor 2 is the one on the front or the back?

1: front
2: rear

Note: A new pressure sensor needs to be initialized. Then follow with a thorough brake flush/bleed with module activation.

I have these lights on as well, DSC and yellow brake light simultaneously.
It seems to go away when my car is parked near sea level or cool weather days.
Comes on again when I park at my house (~320 ft above sea level) or when the car gets warmed up and hot.

Our cars must have been made one after the other. 2006 ZCP here and the same, exact, symptoms.

Apparently the motor and the pressure sensors on the Mk60 are common faults... I couldn't find the page on the brake pressure sensor faults but i found the page on the motor faults:

https://www.ecutesting.com/common-fa...f0-5df1-fault/

That mob can rebuild the motor and replace the internal pressure sensors with a lifetime warranty.

There is also a mob in US that does it... can't remember their name... although they just gave a 2yr warranty vs the 1yr warranty from a new OEM ...

Dunno if any of that helps but thats what I had to go through when i had issues...
