Default South Sound strut disassembly

Hey guys,

Has anyone in the south sound area (Tacoma, Federal Way, Auburn) taken apart the front struts to replace the struts and bearings? I just did it but my mounts/bearings are sticking and making a thumping/popping noise when the wheels are turned. wondering if I can pick your brain. I've taken them out twice and the parts are installed correctly and everything except the springs is new.

Which car is this E30, E36, E46?

Have you reviewed the www.realoem.com part diagrams to insure correct part stack-up?
What brand of Guide Supports did you purchase?

It's an e46 M3. Yes I have looked at the pictures on real oem to make sure everything is in the right place and used the Bentley manual for the procedure. I bought some Corteco guide supports off ECS.

Guide Support bearing fully greased?

If you can see the balls of the bearing and they dry, grease them.

That's something I've been wondering about. I couldn't find a single reference to the M3 bearing needing grease. It is talked about on e36 M3's and e46 non-M's...but didn't see any instructions that say it had to be greased. Where do you put the grease? It's a circular plastic bearing with little ball bearings on the inside and it can't be taken apart. Please advise.
