Default Missed shift 3rd to 5th m3

Its been solid 4 years since i drove manual and i did a horrible (hopefully not) from 3rd to 5th (LOL). As i was enjoying my new e46 m3 on yhe freeway. I was probably cruising 50-60mph. Heres what happened.
So i was cruising maybe good 50mph 3rd gear then then shifted 4th gear around 4-5k rpm cuz i dont wanna push it too hard but there was a traffic so i shifted down to 3rd gear again then i think i hesitated then went to 5th. I yhink thats what happened.
From 3rd to 4th gear around 3-5k rpm
(Clutch in 3-5k rpm > 4thgear > released clutch)
Then Shifted down back to 3rd
(Clutch in > 3rd gear > clutch out THEN i pressed clutch in again And shifted to 5th gear > then released clutch)
Between 3rd and 5th i jist heard (grrrrrr good 2secs i think)
Then i just stayed 5th gear.
After than i shifted fine. Didnt seem to have something wrong.
I thi k i lot of people do this too but I just cant get it oit of my mine.
I was pressing my clutch when i went to 5th i did like normal slowly released the clutch.
Did i damage my syncro severly?

One more thing. I topk off my passenger seat and back sit and now my airbag light is on.
Not a good night for me.
Any suggestion, opinions?

Zero harm would have occurred. I skip gears all the time going up or down.

Passenger seat has a seat occupancy airbag sensor. If youíre seat is unplugged then the system will think thereís an error.

There's no harm in skipping gears. Sometimes I like to take off like a bat out of hell. Use the entire rev range in 1st, change gears to 2nd, little more throttle, and then let off. At that speed, there's absolutely no point to use 3rd or 4th, so I put it straight into 5th.

If you heard/felt grinding, the clutch wasn't fully depressed when you were changing gears.

And Iíve grinded plenty of times just lightly because my left foot was lazy and didnít fully depress. Haha. After I feel like Iíve done it enough like a few times a year. Iíll just swap out the transmission fluid. Although Iíve never seen it come out dirty. So I guess my grinds sounded worse than they are.

I dont thi k theres anything unplugged cuz theres only one connection and its working. So from my understanding when my airbag light is on then the airbags wont deploy is thay right? Or will it just randomly deploy if i dont have it reset the airbag lights?

Thanks. Im at ease now. I felt so disgusted when i heard those sounds. Pretty sure yall can relate.

Yup. Ummm you need BMW scanner or something else to diagnose the light. Maybe something coincidental triggered it.

probably just needs to get the airbag light reset. even if you unplugged it and plugged it back in while the battery was hooked up, it'll trigger the warning.
