Default FS: Mason Aluminum Strut Bar

I have an aluminum front strut bar from Mason sitting in my garage and can't use it with my camber setup, so time to let someone else get this goodness. I bought it from a guy that had plastidipped it for whatever reason. I sat down one night and picked all that crap off figuring that he was covering up a big scratch or something, but it looks fine. Guess he just wanted it to be wrinkly black instead of the beautiful raw aluminum???

Anyway, I don't need it, so if someone wants one you can get this one for ~$125 less than what you would new from Mason.

$425 shipped or less if you can pick it up in Charlotte

Edit: reduced price as shipping is not as much as I originally thought

Maybe I'm an idiot, but why does your camber set up prevent you from using this bar?

Haha good question! I wanted more camber while keeping the OE rubber strut mounts. I ended up not only knocking out the alignment pins, but also extending the slots on the strut towers. This let me slide the struts further inward for more camber, but meant that any normal strut bar wouldn't fit.

I knew I could make it fit if it were shorter, but didn't want to go cutting on a $550 strut bar. I ended up cutting an inch out of the middle of a cheap eBay bar and welding it back together. It's pretty sexy.

Just so people are aware there are two variants of this bar. One for flat strut towers (2002+ I think) and one that accommodates the strut tower with bumps. Hard to tell from the photos but I think this one is for flat strut tower.

No problem. Only reason I know is I have a 2001 and had to wait two months for Mr Mason to make it. He doesn't keep the older variant stocked. This is a great bar and Mr Mason knows a ton about chassis design. Give him a call and 45 minutes later you'll definitely be smarter than before the call.

GLWS.
