God, which is scarier? Not getting vaccine shots or airbag recall?

Great. Another excuse for the dealership to scratch my interior trim and dirty my floor mats. Probly wont be taking it in.

They completely violated those two holes on the back of the steering wheel to unclip the airbag. I have no idea what tool they used but it for sure was a huge one! tears in the plastic are enormous...

Seems dealerships in general are getting worse. I always have some sort of problem--BMW, Toyota (multiple dealers), Lexus, Honda (two different dealers in my area), Friend of mine at VW (same as BMW in my town.)

I ran my VIN and sure enough, it's saying it needs replaced. I guess I forgot this whole 2-Phase replacement deal. I'll have to drive over an hour each way to a competent dealership to have this done. I wonder if the replacement I had done a few years ago would actually be OK; maybe I let the next owner deal with it.

Is there any clarity on if all e46 M3s are subject to this lastest recall or is it just a subset as of now? I've run my VIN through the recall checker and nothing has come back yet.

Mine spent most of it's life in Germany and was only recently brought to the US and registered in the BMW NA database so I don't have complete confidence that the BMW NA site will scan correctly.

My 01 needs a passenger airbag, but nothing shows up for the 05 car.

They’ll probably ask me to move the car around bc if the race seat lol.

My 2006 had both airbags done, and now mine shows up for this passenger bag recall. Maybe it depends on specific VIN as to when you had the original passenger recall done, affecting what part was used at the time.
