Default Powder coat wheels color suggestions? Stock 18's. Please post pics

I need to get my stock 18's refinished and they came to me already powder coated black.
The car is a silver cab with black interior.
It's a good look with the front and side grills also blacked out but this is an opportunity to switch it up.
It will be either some shade of silver or grey or some kind of black, either matte or gloss. Open to ideas of anything in between but not going with any crazy color like green or orange. Want subtle but interesting.
Anyway would love to hear suggestions and especially love to see pics on silver cars. The links i found were pretty old and many of the pics are no longer there.
Thanks all!

If you plan on sticking with the OE 18s, a clean stock set would be the best look on the silver car, IMO. Most, if not all the stock wheels, look best in the their original colors. Those finishes are hard to reproduce.

Yep, I think original finish is best. It’s easy to make these oem 18’s look like hubcaps or cheap China wheels. Gunmetal, Black, and even silver can be disastrous and cheap looking with these wheels...especially on a vert.

Prince powder coating can replicate the original finish. Or you can buy original used set in good condition.

Beautiful

They look terrible in black in the above post. The OE finish is definitely pretty nice.

I have powder coated black D Force wheels. If I were running OEM I would go for OEM finish. For sure.
You need to switch to ceramic pads to keep them looking nice. I have a set of pads with only a few miles on them for OEM calipers. Got them from Zeckhausen Racing. PM me.

I switched to Brembos and racing brake pads (in the street. I need them to live in South Florida. saved my life many times!). Mega nasty dust. That is why I went black on my wheels.

If you have OEM calipers I highly recommend ceramic pads (not for track use) to keep your OEM finish OEM wheels looking good for well over a WEEK of driving. I know. They are amazing. I have an old set with 500 miles made by Centric. I just found them when I was looking for my set of Endless Racing pads for my Brembos(Whopping $900 a set! Front and rear pads only!))

The stock finish is actually a 2 or 3 stage process. It's a black powder coat with a thin layer of gray/silver sprayed over it and possible a clear coat (not sure on this last one). That's why they have a certain depth to them other wheels don't, you're looking partially through the silver/gray paint to the black powder coat.

That said replicating the OEM finish is hard to do.

This is actually pretty common knowledge nowadays on here. Problem is most aren’t willing to ship their wheels or pay a bit more for multi stage powdercoat, and instead go for cheaper/easier gunmetal/Black/silver.
