It may have a tired LSD that probably needs rebuilding, and a ZF320 that will handle power better than a Getrag 250 but probably needs shift detention bushings and rear subframe chassis reinforcements, but it still needs rtab pocket and front subframe reinforcements. You will be doing a lot of work to any of these cars.
All true of course. Just a waste of money to do so much to only bring a 325 up to the standard of a worn-out M3, and that is before you even touch the engine. It is a lose-lose in my opinion.

Just the engine and needed ancillaries.

Fitting costs are variable so wanted to exclude that.

Depends on area and mileage if you use www.car-part.com

Have seen them as low as 1200 and as high as 6000 in last few months. S54 is not gonna get him tp the level he wants plus what appears to be shoe string budget limits things.

I live on ramen some days when needed lol.

Any E36 engine conversion that costs less than $10k generally means corners were cut. It's just not realistic to do it properly for less.

Is your M50 in an M3? (I hope not). If not, you are on the wrong forum.
