I have no idea about Android Auto, but for the Play Store you need to reinstall/update the Play Services. Click on this link from your head unit, download the apk, and install it: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-apk-download/

I did reconnect from the phone, so i wonder if that's why it didn't cut out again. If that's the case I wonder where the issue lies: my iPhone or the Avin

If the wifi and Bluetooth share antennas, maybe I need a more optimal location (though the wifi signal was really strong; -27dB)

I installed this apk: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-apk-download/
APK worked, thanks.

My Bluetooth still cuts out constantly. I do not have the FM antenna hooked up still but unless they share the antenna which I doubt, I don't know what the issue is. Also, I only have the remote 12v and direct 12v hooked up. There is one pin on the harness for "12v ant out" but I am hesitant to apply 12v to it unless I know what it's for.
Maybe the update from Avin will address it.

I don't think it uses the FM antenna. It either shares the wifi antenna or is internal.

Let's see what that update holds. Hopefully having that package can give us a little insight into how to hack these things too. Really hoping it's possible to restore complete bluetooth functionality like on the Intel Joying units.

I would LOVE to have bluetooth tethering work. Absurdly vastly superior to wifi or USB tethering.

I don't see why bothering. I did not code mine out.
Unless you don't want DIS catching any errors but that doesn't affect anything.

You shouldn't have to recode anything. There is a function in the climate control panel that apparently has something to do with the navigation, but I suspect it might just be a lighting adjustment for its position in nav cars.

Otherwise as far as I can tell, the only other module that cares about the navigation system is the instrument cluster. One function is the speed limit thing which you can still set via the Avin. The other function is the distance to the next turn, which I guess won't work anymore (but leaving it enabled shouldn't hurt anything).

Oh ok thanks reason i ask because when im using my ista if i dont see the navigation in my radios menu it takes like 15 mins to scan my car and read all the modules and it will show a nav error. But sometimes if my nav is working it can finish the scan in just like 2 mins hehe

If you remove the nav option code, it'll just look for the standard radio instead which will give the same issue.
