Got my kit, but won't be changing oil again until the summer.

Edit: Car is 2002 with 120k miles. Oil changes every 7.5k miles since ownership at 70,000 miles. No performance mods just standard maintenance and driving the car the way it should be driven. 1 track day. Have always used Castrol 10W-60. Always used premium (91+) fuel.
Boom it's in. I'll get a scanned copy uploaded soon. ![]()

So how does this work. U order some kit. Fill it with oil. Send it back and they analyze it for u.
What's this whole business cost. Seems like interesting stuff.

You go on their site and order an oil analysis kit (free), they send it to you and when you send the sample in they analyze it they charge you $25

You used to be able to buy a multiple kit and save money per analysis too.
There are other services, if you want TBN or other detail info, believe it costs more, so compare apples to apples. ADS

so is this information more for telling the quality of oil? or just using the oil as a substance to gather other information about the internals alone?
