Default AC vent randomly stopping

So I noticed that maybe one or two years ago, while at the gas station with car idling and AC fan on, I noticed that the vent for the AC suddenly shut off. Shutting the car off seemed to have fixed the problem, and I hadn't had a problem since.

This week, after driving around with AC on again I noticed that once again, AC vent shut off regardless of fan speed setting, but AC was still able to cycle. After shutting car off again it fixed it, but the next day while driving to work the same thing occurred. I drove around again without AC on but vents on, to find that it once again gave up. It seems that it now shuts off 50-60% of the time while driving which is definitely a problem.

Is this a sign of the Final Stage Resistor failing, or could it be the blower motor? Of course, there would be no fault code that would pop up for this error (I think) so I'm just guessing until I start replacing parts. Any thoughts?

Default Re: AC vent randomly stopping

Bump. Bringing it in this week, vents turned off again halfway through after a 20 minute drive to work. Anyone ever dealt with this before?
