Buy a m52 and buy a cx racing turbo kit , grip force stage 4, and maybe upgrade to a real turbo. You should be within budget especially if you decide to stick with the turbo that comes with the kit

Of course this setup might be faster than a 335i, but I doubt it could hang with a Civic with a Spoon engine.

For real though, if the car is cheap and the motor is cheap, just squeeze that *****.

Maybe he means on a road course? Cuz he'd lose his ass in a drag race against a 335.

On a road course, however you could easily beat him with a nicely set up E36 and an M52 with cams. Assuming skill is decent.

A friend of mine trapped 104 in his 335 and our drag strip is SLOW. you aren't going to trap over 100mph with an m50 unless your car weighs like 2200lbs or something. Let's be realistic here. Even a good running 96+ E36 (s52) is going to have trouble trapping over 100mph without a lot of weight reduction.

Agreed 100%, spray the hell out of it until it blows up. Document the process on youtube and he'll earn $5 towards a new motor
