Default Cruise Control Inoperative After Brake Light Switch Replacement

So... as the title states my cruise control stopped working after replacing the four pin connector with an "OEM" replacement piece from AutohausAZ. There wasn't a "Genuine BMW" replacement part from them and I had originally bought a two pin connector from them so I thought it would be a good idea to exchange the two pin, get some cash back, and buy the four pin they had.
I'll leave a link below to what I bought.

After installing it I checked my tail lights and they operated as they should, they weren't stuck on or anything odd like that so I thought that would be it, boom let's go drive, right? NOPE.

Me and my friends were taking a trip to Vegas and as soon as I went to flick on the CC nothing happened.... just decelerated because I wasn't on the gas.

Might I also add that my clutch switch operates fine, and I have to have the clutch depressed to start the car... I'm thinking this could still be the problem as I have no history of it being changed and it seems that it's quite a bit old.

BUT 100% my CC stopped working right after the replacement of the switch.

Fuse is fine. Have unplugged battery, killed the charge in the system, disconnected and reconnected the CC unit itself () and no fix.

Also hooked my car up to our ICOM and ISTA diagnostic program in my BMW STEP class and there were no stored faults for the cruise control.

Quite lost as to what could be the cause so any help would be appreciated.

Link to part I replaced the switch with:

Also I can't remove the switch to test as I will literally have to break it to remove it sooooo let's leave that for a last resort pls and ty

That black 4-pin connector is the brakelight switch. Clutch switch is a 2-pin white bodied switch.

Bit confused what switch you replaced now.

Fixed the title.

Pretty clear I'd be talking about the brake light switch if I reference checking my brake lights after replacing said "switch", but guess it must be more confusing than what I perceive.

Gonna be any help now??

Tough call. Might check with INPA, where you can check if it gets all signals (stalk positions, clutch and brakelight switch, etc).

Might even try the old brakelight switch.
