Interesting. Iíll try this.

No interest in jamming something in my vents, that screams ghetto to me.

VERY interested in the euro storage tray, going to have to look that up. I donít drink in my car so the cup holders are useless not just because of their size.

Thanks guys,

Joel

Copied from an old post:

"The E36 interior wasn't designed with cup holders in mind.

In '94, BMW decided to placate the American market by equipping all the cars with what they called the "Console Valet," which was merely an insert that sat on top of the center console, which is why the transition of the area adjacent to the hazard switch to the center console looks so disjointed. The insert was also made available as an accessory for retrofit for earlier cars."

Rip those stupid cup holders out and you're left with this. One of my favorite upgrades I've done. The area actually fits stuff like my wallet and phone nicely now.

Solution: delete the useless cupholders.
I am thinking of deleting the cupholder tray...its sitting on my dining table and was a source for rattle...wanted to know what you guys do with the light...it would be pleasant to put in a BMW logo device!

Found one on ECS with the hole for the bulb: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...n/51168119624/

I have one that has a support "leg" on the bottom that holds most of the weight, so it doesn't put much stress on the thin vent pieces. If you like driving with Google maps or other nav on your phone, it's very helpful, and you can remove it when you're not using it if you don't like how it looks.
