Since I had my transmission out, I followed Phil's suggestion. Mine was torn and leaking the fiber so the design wouldn't have helped.

I fixed it 2 years ago as temporary solution by cutting the old insulation above the guibo, so that the "flapping" sound is gone.
I will leave as it is for the moment till the trans has to come out and then I will remove the old insulation cpl. and replace with fiberglass heat reflective tape or sheets.

For those which do not remove the trans and want to keep the old insulation, such a bracket solution is the best.

I had the larger version produced and skipped the smaller one that required cutting the insulation back. Andrei tried out a set on his car, here are the results!
