I have used the OEM ones and I ordered Ferodo DSuno pads and I think they will be great when with the OEM pads the car was braking like crazy just with OEM pads,Castrol SRF and brake lines upgrade. How ever I have noticed that on my M4 the brake pedal feels lighter than on my E46.

hello, I have put to put the front brakes form an M4 after taking them to remove the 2mm so they are centered and I have a doubt, although ne the photo you see the clip centered with the disk on the underside of the clamp there is less distance than on the outer side so to center it I have to remove 0,9mm more.

Default Re: M4 Brakes on E46 M3?

my question is to know what is the correct position of the caliper.
The caliper has 2 parts and are united with bolts but there are not simetric and this is my question.
I have removed 2mm and the the union of the two parts of the caliper matches the center of the disc, I have made a red line to see it in the following photo:

But in the following pics you can see that there is 1,8mm of diference from one side to other side so I need to cut 0,9 more to center the disc with the caliper that really should be the right thing:

my head tells me that I have to remove those 0.9mm so that it is correct but I see that nobody has done it and that's why he misses me

Hi, can someone please help with the adapter to fit the rear calliper using the OEM M4 rotors? I have read through this thread and others and haven't been able to find any photos or details on how to make the adapter. Any photos or information would be greatly appreciated.

These threads are long and the current position is hard to assertain.

HELP-What is the solution / options for:

-front & rear matched pair caliper swap out
-everyday use, not track tuned
-same or very similar brake balance F to R
-std OEM disk rotors, front @std or ZCP/CSL
-18" rims
-good match with E46 M3 master cylinders stroke etc
-good fit of pad on disk ie no rust rings from unswept areas

Think it would help us all if someone could lead & summarise (briefly)
