Old thread, I'm aware. Does anyone else have any experience with the hella branded sensor? Wouldn't make sense to pay almost 3x as much for the same part.

I bought a Hella sensor on Amazon and it's been working for 6 months so far.

Good to hear, I guess I'll give it a go.

I started having issues with my oil temp gauge this weekend. I have the same issue with the yellow oil light at startup. However it sounds like most people have their gauge fail and stay dead which is where mine is throwing me off. My gauge seems to always work for a little after a cold start, then it bounces around from operating temp to cold pretty frequently at random. Does this still seem like the same oil level sensor issue or do I have a gauge cluster problem?

Mine did the same. It will eventually go out. Just replace the sensor. Problem solved.
