Default 150k miles M3's, who has one?

I was admiring my m the other morning in the garage..

They still look great after all these years, and I still manage to get compliments (after a wash of course). Granted I need to lock down some fix it items, mainly VANOS and subframe (looking to do those both next year) but it's been great to me! I am the 3rd happy owner, and it was my dream car when I purchased it. I came close to selling it 2 years ago but I am glad I decided to hold onto it. While I haven't driven the m in a bit (recently picked up a 2019 cavalry blue Tacoma) I can say I am a proud owner of this beautiful gen BMW..just wanted to share while I sip my coffee. Merry Christmas everyone!

They are special cars. Like most M-cars really.

Bought mine at 151k... SMG -> manual within 500 miles.. Just locked down the full Beisan vanos a week ago at 155,800.. Still need to do subframe (no visible cracks- but Lang racing kit ordered).. Then the rod bearings (mine were done at 18k under warranty)..

Granted I have replaced most interior parts, every single seal and bearing I could get my hands on in the swaps.. Painted all the plastic parts including bumpers (clear was peeling-Florida car)..

But I will be damned... This 17 year ole 150k+ bmw has less issues and check engine lights than my 2016 Denali HD.. Hell I failed inspection on the truck the other day bc my horn decided to break.... Dealership wanted $600 to replace my HORN... Needless to say I am trading it for an F-250 platinum...But still.. My old ass M car is my reliable vehicle..

Wanted one since I was 16- Bought it at 29 years old finally.. Not a bad car for $7k.. Granted I prly have put $13k into it.. but whatever. It’s worth it for a car this special
