I have the app but i don't see an option to download "upload only"
Is there a way to save the whole album or pic by pic?

On Android, you hit the button in the top right corner, then click "download album."

Thanks, I was able to download it on my tablet, interesting that the iPhone app doesn't have the download option

I use personal hosting with Hostgator with a private domain. My hosting package includes unlimited everything: storage, bandwidth, websites, subdomains, databases, email etc., and also unlimited FTP + ssh access. I just setup subdomain folders for assets and link to them as needed. Costs $3.95 per month for a 3 year contract. Good deal if you have a bit of hosting knowledge and know how to manage a private hosting server.

I've seen ImgBB, Flickr and Google Photos mentioned so far. Anyone else make a switch over yet?

Clearly Photobucket just wanted out by charging that much. I can't believe there isn't a go-to service for this - offer free hot-linking with a watermark (payed version for no watermarks), have advertising on the site to pay for the servers. Auto resizing of photos, album organization, and code generator boxes for the BB code. Am I missing something?

I just created a new Flickr account. Made a bogus yahoo account and I've been going through to upload whatever I've got on my computer and so far the experience is positive. Free 1tb of storage will be perfect for me.

Exactly. It effects everyone builds - like Mr Wolfe's epic thread. We lost the whole thing. Photobucket is now jumped the shark!!

Sad day. I will have to remove all my pics from Photobucket this weekend.
If anyone can explain to me the steps on how to use Google to host images, I am all ears.

I am sure Flickr will start charging.

I would like to be able to host my own images, not sure how to do this....

It's pretty easy, I posted highlights of how I host my images a couple of posts above. Granted I'm in a tech industry with a specialty in servers and back end stuff, so this stuff is easy for me, but, it's pretty straight forward and cheap if all you want to do is host and link your own images.

You just need a basic hosting package, anywhere from $3 to $10 a month + a private domain (about $15 per year). The rest is easy. Most of this information is available with a few google searches, but if there is enough interest, I would be opened to gather info on the most basic / cheapest way for people to host their own images and put it into a write up.

Did Flickr just do the same thing as Photobucket? I got an email from them, just skimmed through it but looks like they are asking for money.
