Very poor key reception (video evidence!)

Hey guys, first things first -- I have 2 wireless keys, I've put brand new batteries in both of them, and they both do the same thing.

I have extremely low reception when it comes to the keys. In order to unlock the doors or pop the trunk I basically need to be on top of the vehicle. In order to start the car, I need to take them out of my pocket and get them close to the button.

The video explains it all.. I apologize it's kind of shaky. If you turn your sound up you can hear me clicking the buttons on the key, and pushing the start button a couple times. I put a couple annotations in there too.

Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this?
