Post Question about using ECUWORX

Good morning everyone,
I bought ECUWORX and I have a question about using the software, I tried asking them via Facebook and Email but never got an answer.

My question is about the "EWS Delete + EWS Tampering DTC Delete" I have problems with my key on my m3 because I've dropped it in the pool and now it only starts about half the time, can I use this option to effectively remove the EWS? Can i then get a key cut and use it without programming it?

Also will this option cause the tamper dot on the cluster?

Thanks.

If no one knows the answer, does anyone know where I can reach Ecuworx themselves? I've tried to contact them for more than a week and they don't answer on any of the social media/emails listed on their website

If you already have the licence for the software, why not just try it and see if it solves your problem ?

ok, well if you're 100% sure it won't cause a tamper dot I guess it's safe to try and see if it solves my issue.

Thanks everyone.

EWS delete only disables EWS in the DME - the EWS module still has to be able to read the key in order for the car to start.

Correct, the starter motor still won't engage if it doesn't detect the key. You'll need to rewire and bypass the ews for the starter as well.
